After a harrowing 12-hour drive to Chicago, our normally quiet ride started sounding like we were at Daytona instead of the Loop. Figuring it might be a muffler damaged from winter driving, I used a GPS device to find the nearest repair shop of any kind. Meineke turned up, and unbelievably, to this Easterner, the shop was able to get me in before closing on a Saturday afternoon. Owner Kerry Friedman instantly diagnosed the problem of a corroded flange as requiring a $90 fix instead of a new $600 muffler system. Kerry was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly -- qualities not usually associated with car repair shops.
The service I received at the Hales Corners, WI shop was excellent today. An employee, Dale, provided a clear explanation of the work required and stayed past the noon closing time to wait for the parts and get the work done. He was extremely courteous and informative throughout the process. It's been a long time since I've had this positive an experience when getting my Jeep serviced. A sincere thanks to your organization and Dale for the great service.
Saturday, August 25th, we spent the day in Fort Smith and just before starting home the fan belt on our car broke. We began calling repair shops only to discover they were closed or closing. We called seven or eight shops until we tried Meineke at 5:57PM. I wasn't sure anyone would answer. They did. I told them our plight. Joe, Kelly, and Randy arrived in about 15 minutes, working diligently to remove the broken belt and install the new one. I like to think I give people the benefit of the doubt, but I doubt you would find another three men willing to do this on a Saturday evening for strangers, when they could have been home. I'd like to tell the people of Fort Smith that they have three residents they can be very proud of...Joe, Kelly, and Randy. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tony Rodriguez and his competent staff of technicians at the Blue Springs, MO, Meineke Car Care Center. I initially went there last June thinking it was time for new brakes. Tony checked out my car and told me I didn't need new brakes yet, but to come back in 6 mos. I did come back and eventually got my new brakes; but, because of Tony's honesty and integrity, I will continue to use Meineke in the future. It is rare to encounter someone with this type of integrity in the car repair industry. Any other place would have taken my money and replaced my brakes the first time around. Meineke should consider themselves lucky to have someone like Tony representing their company. He is polite, respectful, soft spoken, and HONEST - "yes" there ARE HONEST people in the car repair business! Thank you so much for this experience.
I would like to express my appreciation for one of your employees who really helped me out of a jam last night. His name is Charles Sterling and he works at Shop #1074 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We were stranded with 2 flat tires on our boat trailer and Mr. Sterling helped us to get back on the road even though your shop was officially closed for the day. I don't know what we would have done if he hadn't been so kind and helpful. It is a rare thing to come across someone who is willing to help out a stranger. Perhaps you treat your employees well which contributes to a more caring attitude. I will certainly try Meineke the next time I need a new muffler! Thank you.

I wanted to take time to recognize the outstanding customer service that was provided to me by the manager of your Duluth Hwy location in Lawrenceville, GA. Like most consumers, my vehicle is this "black box" when it comes to troubleshooting and repairs. I appreciate James' evaluations of the situation and his non - "Life or Death" high pressure sales attempts for other repairs that I have encountered at your competitors' shops. James gives reliable honest service and I have never doubted his judgment. He was able to complete all the necessary repairs within 3.5 hours and for $60 less that your competitor. My children will enjoy a couple extra Christmas gifts as a result of this savings this year, and we will mark them "From James".

I cannot express how fanstastic the customer service was that I was given at your store. I immediatley called my mother and told her about it. She was in your store and has made an appointment to have her car fixed. The team member expressed that they did not want me to leave the store with a undriveable car; I was glad to listen to their advice. The next day I returned to complete the work on my car. Once again I wanted to thank the whole team for the wonderful customer service that was given. I am scheduled to come back and have my A/C recharge in two weeks time.
This is my second vehicle I have taken to Meineke for brake work and I must say as a female, I am always a little nervous about being "taken for a ride" but I have been extremely satisfied and impressed with the staff at the Normal IL location. My 16 year old son is in the process of rebuilding an older car and although he ordered an exhaust system from a specialty catalog, when he went to install it, he found it was missing a component. Being new to car repair, he mistakenly thought it was a catalytic converter and began and began calling around for the best price and availability. After numerous calls, the lowest price was from the Meineke shop in Palantine, IL, located at Dundee Rd. and Rand Rd. Well, the dealer he was working with called last night with the news that the part was in. When we drove over there, I advised my son to bring his new exhaust system (and the "catalytic converter") just to be sure everything would fit together properly. The fellow he was working with over the phone (I truly regret not getting his name), came out to meet him and immediately identified the part in question as a resonator and not a catalytic converter. He then suggested to my son that since his new exhaust system already had a resonator he could fix him up with a simple straight pipe that would work out just fine. Instead of $175 for the original cost estimate for a catalytic converter, your guy fixed him up with a straight pipe with flanges welded in place, gaskets and the necessary nuts and bolts for $35. On top of this tremendous savings, my 16 year old son was treated with the respect and professionalism you would expect if it were a big ticket item. I have never had the opportunity to use Meineke for any service, but the way that your employee handled my son's transaction was exemplary. This was by no means a "big" job in the scope of his shop's daily routine, but your guy handled it as a true professional. Although my son's funds are limited now and he continues to do as much of his own work as possible, I know in the future he will always remember how he was treated at Meineke. As his father, I too will remember this experience and am sure I will also be a future customer when the need arises.
